Job description

 

We are looking for a kitchen assistant for our 4-star hotel located in Linz Austria. We are looking for a responsible, punctual, organized and willing to learn person, who knows how to teamwork and follow the chef's instructions.

 

 

We offer you:

 

  • An indefinite full-time contract of 40 hours per week, with two rotating days off.
  • A net salary of 1.300 € per month, negotiable depending on your qualifications and experience.
  • Single or shared accommodation (depending on availability) in a flat near the hotel, with its own bathroom, equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and heating.
  • Ongoing online and face-to-face training on the hotel's quality and service standards, as well as on German culture and language. The training is free and voluntary, but will help you improve your skills and help you to move up within the company.

Your tasks will be:

 

  • Prepare the ingredients and necessary utensils for the elaboration of the dishes.
  • Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Support the chef and the rest of the kitchen staff in the assigned tasks.
  • Comply with the hotel's hygiene, safety and food quality standards.

Requirements

The requirements you must meet are:

 

  • Minimum 3 months experience as a kitchen assistant in hotels or restaurants.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Have European nationality or a residence and work permit for Germany.
  • Have a minimum level of English or German B1. A language test will be carried out by telephone or Skype (no language certificate is required).
  • Have driving license and own vehicle (desirable).
  • Good appearance, punctuality, responsibility and positive attitude.
