Job description

We are looking for a nursing assistant for our nursing home located in Frankfurt. We are looking for a responsible, punctual, caring person with a good presence, who knows how to work in a team and attend to the residents with kindness and respect.

We offer you:

  • An indefinite full-time contract of 40 hours per week, with two rotating days off.
  • A net salary of 1.700€ per month, negotiable depending on your skills and experience.

Your tasks will be:

 

  • Assist residents with basic activities of daily living (hygiene, mealtimes, mobility, etc.)
  • Administer medication and treatments prescribed by the doctor.
  • Take and register the vital signs and vital parameters of the residents.
  • Carrying out cures, dressings and other nursing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the health and social-health staff in the comprehensive care of residents.
  • Inform and teach residents and their families about health and wellbeing.

Requirements

The requirements you must meet are:

 

  • Diploma in Nursing Auxiliary Care Technician (TCAE) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a nursing assistant in nursing homes or geriatric centres.
  • Basic knowledge of geriatrics and dementia.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Have European nationality or a residence and work permit for Germany.
  • Have a minimum level of German B1. A language test will be conducted by telephone or Skype (no language certificate is required).
  • Have a driving licence and your own vehicle (desirable).
  • Punctuality, responsibility and positive attitude.
